GRAVEYARD " HEILIG LAND -(HOLY LAND) "
Grandma's and Grandpa's Burial Ground
In golden letters engraved on the wall
" Heilig Land " (Holy Land) could be found
Way back in Germany, I do well recall
A graveyard it too often has been
This precious, real Holy Land,
Battles and conquests it always has seen
Downtrodden by foe, uplifted by friend
And daily again fresh graves are being dug
All over this precious dear land
And daily young bodies are being stuck
With feeble and trembling hands
So many hearts broken, beaten and torn ...
Hopes and dreams shattered, turning to dust
And deep in the flesh the piosonous thorn
Arouses new hatred, new anger and frust
Let us chose wisely, we all want to live
It's much too Holy, this Promised Land,
Rather than take, we all have to give
With all our Being, with Heart and with Hand
Happy and humble, oh let us embrace
No longer a graveyard, no mourners shouts
Guided by wisdom, uplifted by faith
Oh Brothers behold the cheering crowds ...
